The International Baptist Fellowship of Debrecen is a ministry of Debreceni Baptista Gyülekezet (Debrecen Baptist Church), providing biblical preaching, discipleship and fellowship since May 2024 for English-speaking people from around the world. Everyone is welcome!

We have something at IBF that is far better than “silver or gold.” We have the testimony of Jesus Christ, the reality of His presence in our lives, and a multicultural spiritual fellowship in Him. This is a treasure worth finding and one that we want to share with you. If these are the things that you are seeking for, we welcome you to our church.

IBF Pastor József Simon served for 26 years in the First Hungarian Baptist Church of Oradea, Romania, and then for 7 more years in the International Baptist Church in Norway. He is married to Valentina, and they are blessed with 3 children and 9 grandchildren.
Mission Statement
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20).
The chief commission Jesus gives to his church is to make disciples of all nations. Although this applies to every church, being an international church this charge resonates even more with us. Therefore, the chief mission of our church is to disciple people to live in accordance to God’s Word because, when this happens, God is glorified and we will shine as light in the world.
What We Believe
We are committed to the Word of God as the final authority for all matters of life. Therefore, the life and ministry of our church are driven by biblical doctrines. For more information read our Statement of Faith.
