In addition to the Sunday service, we have several other meetings that are designed for specific groups. Explore the options below to find where you fit in!
Bible Study
Every Tuesday from 17:00 to 18:30 we meet for Bible Study in the MLK room (upstairs small meeting room) of the Debrecen Baptist Church. We enjoy gathering in an informal, interactive environment where we can dig deep into God’s Word and feel free to ask questions. It’s a wonderful time to grow spiritually as we study, encourage each other, and pray. Contact us for details.
Men's group
IBF men meet monthly to connect and discuss issues relative to being a godly man. We discuss biblical topics, cultural issues, and questions that arise in daily life, always in an informal way so that everyone feels free to participate. The group is open to all men who are interested in this time of bonding and personal growth. Look for men's meetings announcements on our News page, or message us to learn more.
Women's group
Our ladies’ group meets once a month to connect woman-to-woman, encouraging one another as we grow closer to the Lord. Our goal is to provide an informal, loving atmosphere where everyone can feel free to ask questions and discuss matters that are important to them. Outreach and Discipleship
Outreach and discipleship training are not programs, but rather transformative processes that help people walk closer to God. Everyone is on a spiritual journey whether they realise it or not. Some people are on a path leading them toward God, while others are wandering further away from Him.

The purpose of outreach is to meet people outside the church and help guide them toward God, the Good News being shared through verbal witness and loving actions. This flows naturally as we build caring relationships with people in our community. Outreach is about living like Jesus did. As He showed us, we should be out among people to rejoice when they rejoice and comfort when they are sad. This life includes lending a helping hand in time of need and spending time with the lonely. Reaching out to others takes on many different forms, but must always include intentionally guiding people toward new birth in Jesus Christ.

Discipleship is an ongoing life-on-life relationship in which we as believers walk with each other through the process of spiritual maturation, intentionally helping each other grow closer to God. It is not a program, but rather the natural growth that comes as older believers share life with younger believers. Older believers are then refreshed in their walk with Jesus as they see the wonder of spiritual rebirth and life from the perspective of a new believer. Discipleship is a two-way relationship: older believers helping the younger, while the younger ones in turn help those who are older in the faith.

Both outreach and discipleship are about seeing people move closer to God. So no matter where you are on the path of life or which direction you are going, we want to meet you and help you on your spiritual journey to be where God wants you to be!
